Be Prepared When Flying
Are We Susceptible to Getting Sick while on an Airplane Trip?
Between flights, airlines do not have enough crew and time to thoroughly clean the aircraft. The seat pockets, arm rests and tray tables are likely full of germs. Do not forget the seat belt buckles. I believe the seat belt buckle has the “highest” level of bacteria.
Make sure you bring disinfectant wipes to clean down the arm rests, tray tables and seat buckles.
For seat pockets, I bring a kitchen garbage bag from home and line the pocket. Maybe, we should consider bringing disposal gloves when using the aircraft bathrooms? Or wear a face mask on the flight which protects you from the passenger who is in close proximity to your seat, perpetually sneezing and/or coughing.
Why have the airlines not considered giving all passengers a complimentary packet of antibacterial wipes with the packet of peanuts when boarding?
