Karen Advocate is an accomplished consultant. During the past 15 years she has generated gross revenues of greater than $150 million. Her focus on the Smart Home environment and the expansion of Smart City services for sectors such as transportation, education, commerce, food services, and health have positioned her as a unique adviser to both industry and individuals.

Within the home sector she advises clients on wireless devices such as Nest, the Google Assistant, in-home music/video systems, home theatre streaming, gaming, home electronics for home window treatments, television, lighting, security systems, all of which make home life easier, safer, and more efficient. With a keen focus on the kitchen area’s utility, the devices appropriate for modern living, all encased in an ability to envisage the space and the layout that maximizes the comfort, appeal, and effectiveness of this most critical room in the home, she guides clients through the process of renovation.

The emergence of and development of the Smart City concept is enabling Karen to work with leaders in the shared transportation industry, in unique specific use cases for emergency response needs, and in the food, entertainment and overall delivery of service sectors, include partners such as Bosch Industries.

Karen has previously worked with Time Inc. and Ernst & Young as a financial and marketing professional. She possesses an MBA from Pace University, and a Bachelors’ Degree from Tufts University.

Her family includes her husband and two children, all of whom are professionals in their own right (CPA, MBA, Google product marketing, NBC program distribution, and Sony streaming video services; Columbia University (MBA), UCLA Anderson School of Management (MBA), Northwestern University (BA), and Duke University (BS)).
