Blockchain Social Community With Tom Connolly

Blockchain Social Community With Tom Connolly

Recently, I had an insightful discussion with expert and friend of PMB Tom Connolly about the future of IoT (Internet of Things) products and services in building a blockchain social community.

As a passionate supporter of technology aimed at revolutionizing the status quo, Tom currently advises on disruptive technologies with a primary focus on opportunities evolving within the crypto-asset and blockchain sectors. The opportunities evolving within the Crypto-Asset and Blockchain sectors has been his focus since 2014. Tom possesses a rich and diverse background that includes corporate senior executive roles (Sony) and key leadership roles within Ernst & Young (Managing Partner of Media & Entertainment).

From Tom:

Blockchain technology in a social and commercial community setting will provide individual ownership of data, permissioned use of that data for compensation, or for public distribution, and self-regulation of members through a reputation platform. Community members will benefit from the connection of digital devices through the Internet of Things (IoT) that will make life easier with greater control of privacy. Advertising revenues and sale proceeds from selling assets are an additional component of the blockchain community concept.

You need to think of this as your your local shopping mall, a community gathering place, where members of the community come to share information and to window shop across the spectrum of LongFi, WiFi and Broadband solutions, to offer in the public space their own individual markets for selling their art, their digital assets, etc., in a public “flea” market setting, with the perimeter around the center is filled with the DApp store fronts to each of the solutions that comprise the eco-system.
